7 Starbucks Drinks You Can’t Order Right Now Due to a Company-Wide Shortage
Is your usual Starbucks order on the list?
We don’t know about you, but we firmly believe that the day hasn’t started until we’ve had a cup of coffee.
For some die-hard fans, that cup of coffee has to have the signature siren logo on it, and with the wide variety of drinks Starbucks offers, we can’t blame ’em!
Unfortunately, we’ve been hearing rumors about discontinued Starbucks drinks, so we’re keeping a close eye on the situation. After all, you don’t want to roll up to the drive-through before work just to find out you can’t get a latte!
Has your favorite Starbucks drink been discontinued?
As it turns out, these drinks haven’t been discontinued, but a company-wide supply shortage has made them harder to come by. This issue stretches as far back as April, when Starbucks’ brand new Honey Oatmilk Latte was in short supply, reportedly due to a shortage of oat milk. Starbucks fans are having trouble finding these drinks:
- Chai Latte
- Strawberry Acai Refresher
- Mango Dragonfruit Refresher
- White Chocolate Mocha
- Cinnamon Dolce
- Kiwi Starfruit Refresher
- Dark Roast Coffee
Certain ingredients have also been hard to come by, as seen in this video by TikTok user @wolvesvillage. Some of the missing ingredients include:
- Oat milk
- Vanilla sweetener
- Caramel drizzle
Some stores are also reportedly running out of cups, straws and even lids! It’s safe to say that there a lot of customers right now who aren’t too happy about missing out on their drinks.
Will anything be off the menu for good?
According to a report by Business Insider, the chain is also putting a temporary hold on 25 items, including hazelnut syrup, toffee nut syrup, chai tea bags, green iced tea, and other favorites. No word on whether these changes will become permanent, but considering some of these items play a big role in our beloved Starbucks secret menu, we hope not!
Until things get back to normal, you can always try making your favorite Starbucks drink at home.
